The omni-directional radiation of waves with horizontal polarization represents a challenge to every developer. Solutions are mostly slotted cylinders, which, however, can indicate considerable residual ripple in the radiation pattern. The structure developed here consists of a dipole array and achieves residual ripple of less than 0.5dB at large bandwidths. The feed is implemented over coaxial connection, and the divider and transformer are already integrated into the antenna.
