These structures represent shortened dipoles over a baseplate. As a result of their special construction type, the antennae are extremely compact. They radiate with linear-vertical polarization and are suitable as test antennas, for arrangement in antenna arrays or also for polarimetric measurements as a result of their high level of cross-polar purity.
